Hey, everyone! Raquel here to share how to make your own sourdough starter! I share the necessary supplies (which are minimal! No scale required!!) and then in TWO MINUTES, show the process— as well as share tidbits from my half decade experience as a sourdough baker. Every year for the past five years, after the Feast of Unleavened Bread, I restart my sourdough starter. In 50 days, I’ll be baking two loaves of bread for the Feast of Weeks in remembrance of this commandment:
Leviticus 23:16-17 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto YHVH. Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the YHVH.
